Book Review by Tatum S., 7th Grade

“She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.”

Romantic. Romantic and amazing. Everything about this book is amazing. To start of, we have the amazing protagonist, Celaena Sardothien, who not only is witty, but strong and independent. Then we have the boys. the boys in this book are amazing. Not only dreamy, but strong and romantic. This book has it all, romance, action, fantasy, fiction, you name it. Let’s review it.

Assassin Celaena Sardothien has survived the king’s contest, gone through major heartbreak, lost her best-friend. and now has to go to a foreign country to kill the king and queen. But while she is at the new land, she has to fight the truth… the truth about who she really is. Meanwhile, brutal and bloodthirsty forces are being formed on the coast. Leaving Celaena no choice but to accept her royal heritage, and fight for her life. And for the life of her people.

I recommend this book to people:

  • Who loved The Hunger Games
  • Who enjoyed Under the Never Sky
  • Who like…
    •     Action
    •     Romance
    •     Non-Fiction
    •     Fantasy
  • Who are over the age of 12.
    •     Some parts of the book are a little gory and might scare younger readers. Earlier in the series, there are some scenes where it gets a little inappropriate. There is also swearing throughout the series.

I can’t wait for the next one to come out, Queen of Shadows!
